“Beyond the IMO Net-Zero Framework: The Future of Maritime Fuels and Markets”

　弊所では、海外の著名なエネルギー専門家によるオンラインセミナー“IEEJ Global Energy Webinar”を下記の通り開催（配信）いたします。

　今回は、グローバル・グリーン燃料センター (GCGF)から海運ディレクターであるクリス・チャタートンさまをお招きして”IMO NZF Update and Outlook”についてご講演いただきます。加えて、弊所から ”Future Shipping Fuel Demand Outlook”を説明させていただきます。
　本講演では、IMOネットゼロ政策をはじめとする国際的な規制動向や各国・地域の脱炭素政策の進展を背景に、海運燃料需要の中長期見通しと今後の市場展望を探ります。メタノール、バイオ燃料、アンモニア、水素などの代替燃料の普及可能性や競争力を評価するとともに、海運分野のエネルギー転換の方向性について議論します。また、燃料市場や供給網への影響、日本のエネルギー産業および海運関連事業者にとっての機会と課題について考察します。
　チャタートンさまと弊所からの報告の後には、パネル討論・質疑応答の時間をご用意しております。皆さま、どうぞ奮ってご参加ください。

　On November 11, we will host the 54th IEEJ Global Webinar “Beyond the IMO Net-Zero Framework: The Future of Maritime Fuels and Markets”. We are honoured to invite Mr. Chris Chatterton, Maritime Director, Global Centre for Green Fuels (GCGF), to present "Future Marine Fuel Pathways Outlook: Which Options Are Positioned to Respond?". In addition, an IEEJ researcher will give a presentation on the “Future Shipping Fuel Demand Outlook.”
　This webinar examines the medium- to long-term outlook for maritime fuel demand amid evolving IMO regulations, regional decarbonization policies and changing market dynamics. The discussion will explore the prospects for alternative marine fuels, including methanol, biofuels, ammonia and hydrogen, focusing on their commercial readiness, competitiveness and potential role in the maritime energy transition. Particular attention will be given to the implications for fuel markets, supply chains and Japan's energy and shipping sectors.
　Their presentation will be followed by Panel Discussion and Q&A session. We hope that you will join the upcoming event.
