Professor Ishida has been a professor at Aoyama Gakuin University since 2009, after working as a senior researcher at the Institute of Energy Economics, Japan in 2006. Before that he has experience as a researcher at Japan Center for Economic Research in 1989, The Institute of Energy Economics, Japan in 1992, visiting researcher at the Oxford Energy Institute, UK in 2003. His specialty is energy economy, energy security, and econometric analysis, e.g.

Professor Takashi Otsuki
Associate Professor, Division of Intelligent Systems Engineering, Faculty of Engineering, Yokohama National University (YNU)
Professor Otsuki worked for the Institute of Energy Economics, Japan from 2014 to 2022, and then joined YNU in April 2022. His research interests include energy system analysis and climate change mitigation.

Professor Yoshiki Ogawa
Professor Emeritus, Toyo University
Professor Ogawa joined the Institute of Energy Economics, Japan in 1979 and engaged in research on energy issues. As a visiting researcher, he stayed in Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), the U.S. in blazing heat of 1988. After returning to Japan in 1989, he conducted researches specialized in global environmental issues. In 2002, he was a visiting professor at Toyo University Graduate School of Advanced Policy Science under the theme of "Energy and Environment". He joined Toyo University as a professor in 2004, and then he was appointed as a professor emeritus.
Professor Kenichi Kawasaki
Professor, GRIPS Alliance, National Graduate Institute for Policy Studies (GRIPS)
Professor Kawasaki joined former Economic Planning Agency (current Cabinet Office) in 1983. After working at Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD), as Senior Research Fellow at Economic and Social Research Institute (ESRI), Cabinet Office, Director for Economic Outlook, Cabinet Office and others, Senior Fellow at GRIPS Alliance, National Graduate Institute for Policy Studies (GRIPS) in 2013 and professor at GRIPS Alliance, GRIPS in 2018.

Professor Hisao Kibune
Professor, Faculty of Economics, Nagoya Gakuin University
Professor Kibune joined the Institute of Energy Economics, Japan in 1981; senior economist in 1986; chief economist of the 6th laboratory in 1991; and studied abroad at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), the U.S. from 1989 to 1991. In 1992, he joined as an associate professor in the Faculty of Economics at Nagoya Gakuin University; professor in 1998; the Dean of the Faculty of Economics in 2006; the Dean of the Graduate School of Economics and Management in 2010; President of the University in 2011. After that, he was appointed as an executive director in 2018.

Professor Komiyama served as senior researcher in Institute of Energy Economics, Japan (IEEJ) in 2013; Visiting Scholar at the Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory, The U.S. in 2007; Visiting Scholar at the University of California, Berkeley, The U.S. in 2011; Associate Professor at the Graduate School of Engineering, The University of Tokyo in 2013 ; Professor at the Graduate School of Engineering, The University of Tokyo in 2022.
Professor Toru Tachibana
Professor, Faculty of Political Science and Economics, Takushoku University
Professor Tachibana joined the Japanese Institute of Middle Eastern Economies (JIME), the Institute of Energy Economics, Japan (IEEJ) in 1981; Senior Research Fellow, JIME Center, IEEJ in 2004; Professor, Faculty of Political Science and Economics, Takushoku University in 2005; Dean, Faculty of Political Science and Economics, Takushoku University in 2013. He has authored numerous publications.

Professor Ryoji Tateyama
Emeritus Professor, National Defense Academy of Japan
Professor Tateyama is currently an emeritus professor at the university after joining as a professor in the Department of International Relations, National Defense Academy in 1997. Before that he has experience as an attaché of Embassy of Japan in Israel; a staff of the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East; a Senior Analyst of the Economic Research Institute for the Middle East. He has authored numerous publications.

Professor Hisanori Nei
Professor, National Graduate Institute for Policy Studies
Professor Nei joined the Ministry of International Trade and Industry (MITI) (current Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry, METI) in 1981. Served variously as Ministers Secretariat Bureau, Agency of Natural Resources; Executive Director of JETRO Houston, USA; Director of Middle East and Africa Office; Director of Petroleum Refining and Reserve Division at METI. He was dispatched to the Coalition Provisional Authority (CPA) in Iraq; served as a Director at the Technical Cooperation Division, METI; Director of Nuclear Power Inspection Div., Nuclear and Industrial Safety Agency (NISA), METI; Director General, Tohoku Regional Bureau of METI in 2008; Deputy Director General for Nuclear Fuel Cycle Safety, NISA, METI in 2009; Councilor at cabinet secretary for restoring the Nuclear Accident in 2011; Executive Director, at Japan National Oil, Gas and Metals Corporation in 2012; after that he has been in current position at GRIPS since June 2014. He is a member of Atomic Energy Society of Japan, Japan Society of Mechanical Engineers, International Association for Energy Economics.

Professor Yuji Matsuo
Associate Professor, College of Asia Pacific Studies, Ritsumeikan Asia Pacific University
Professor Matsuo joined the Institute of Energy Economics, Japan in 2007. After working as a researcher, senior researcher, and chief researcher at IEEJ, he is currently an associate professor at Ritsumeikan Asia Pacific University since 2021.

Professor Zhidong Li

Professor Li has been in current position since 2007 after served as an associate professor at Nagaoka University of Technology, a senior researcher at the Institute of Energy Economics, Japan in 1990. He majored in energy economics, environmental economics and econometrics. He is the author/co-author of number of books and articles published in academic and professional journals and publishers.
