Fields of Study: Energy policy in Europe, Nuclear energy policy

Her current research focuses on energy policies of European countries, as well as nuclear energy policies and developments in Japan and the world. While at IEEJ, Ms. Shimogori has contributed monthly analytical articles on European energy issues since April 2015, as well as several webinars on energy security issues in Europe. Ms. Shimogori has focused on issues related to the development of nuclear energy in competitive markets, and has written on electricity market reform and nuclear power in the United Kingdom.
