Outline
The October 2026 LNG Market Review highlights pivotal global developments. North American - the United States and Canada - developers advanced LNG export projects and long-term supply agreements, alongside the regulatory process streamlining initiatives. In the Asia-Pacific region, infrastructure progressed through major liquefaction projects and new receiving terminals, as well as gas-fired power projects, whilst Australia introduced a domestic gas reservation bill. Meanwhile, European policymakers debated extending compliance timelines for methane emissions regulations to prevent supply disruptions. The Middle East, Africa, and South America featured strategic offshore approvals, and updated exploration initiatives, collectively strengthening global natural gas trade networks.
