Outline The Australian Government released the exposure draft of the Domestic Gas Reservation Bill 2026 and conducted a consultation process inviting feedback. The draft retains the core architecture proposed under the earlier Draft Design Framework but introduces a number of important modifications, clarifications and additional mechanisms. IEEJ submitted comments during the latest consultation process, which are attached as an appendix to this report.
