Outline On 11 September 2026, IEEJ hosted a roundtable titled " Future of the LNG Market in the Wake of the Middle East Crisis" as a side event of the 15th LNG Producer-Consumer Conference, hosted by the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry (METI) and the International Energy Agency (IEA). A total of 20 government and industry representatives from all over the world participated and discussed under the Chatham House Rule. This report provides the summary of the roundtable according to the points, such as “the importance of strengthening resilience”, "the need to continue investment”, and "the need for a predictable investment environment".
