About GECCJ

Green Energy Certification Center, Japan (GECCJ), an organization independent from power companies, power producers or power purchasers, is committed to improving the social recognition and credibility of Green Power & Heat.

GECCJ assumes the following responsibilities in the Green Power & Heat System.

1. Development & management of Green Power & Heat certification standards
2. Verification and certification of Green Power & Heat
3. Survey on the environmental and economic value of Green Power & Heat

GECCJ was established on April 1, 2008, as a branch of the Institute of Energy Economics, Japan.

GECCJ succeeded the tasks of Green Power Certification Council, Japan, as well as all its rights & obligations.
